Flood T-shirts Part of Fundraising Effort

In Cedar Rapids, flood T-shirts have raised about $30,000 for the Grant Wood Chapter of the American Red Cross.

Seven Hy-Vee Drug Stores in the Cedar Rapids metro area are selling the $10 shirts, with 100 percent of profits going to the Red Cross, said Kris Koberg, president and CEO of Sports Image, the Hiawatha company producing the shirts.

The numbers from this card should be entered in the "grocery card" section of the Upromise website (www.upromise.com) so that your Upromise-eligible purchases at Hy-Vee can be used for educational savings through the Upromise program. The plastic card has three parts - a larger card and two smaller key ring cards. Any form of payment is accepted under the new Upromise program at Hy-Vee. Some of our stores and Drugstores (formerly Drug Towns) are awaiting computer upgrades to make it possible to account for Upromise-eligible purchases; all stores should be able to participate in the near future.
