    Description

    The most flavorful hamburgers start with great ground beef. Using meat with at least 15 percent fat will result in juicy grilled burgers. Shape the patties gently and make a small indentation in the center to ensure even cooking as the burger swells during grilling.

    1 lbs. 85% lean ground beef
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 clove(s) garlic, minced
    1 tbsp. Hy-Vee Worcestershire sauce
    ½ tsp. Hy-Vee kosher sea salt
    ¼ tsp. Hy-Vee black pepper
    Several dashes hot pepper sauce

    Directions

    1. Heat a charcoal or gas grill for direct cooking to medium heat.
    2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper and hot pepper sauce; mix well. Shape ground beef mixture into four 3/4-inch-thick patties.
    3. Grill patties for 14 to 18 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees, turning once halfway through grilling.
