Apple Cinnamon Muffin Cones

1 (8.1 oz) pkg Pillsbury apple cinnamon muffin mix | ||
½ c. peeled, cored, finely chopped apples | ||
¼ c. Hy-Vee chopped walnuts | ||
1 ½ tsp. Hy-Vee cinnamon, divided | ||
½ c. Hy-Vee skim milk | ||
6 Joy cones | ||
6 tbsp. Hy-Vee white frosting |
Directions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees. In a medium bowl, stir together muffin mix, apples, walnuts, 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon and milk.
- Evenly fill cones with muffin mix.
- Place cones in an ungreased muffin tin. Bake 15 to 17 minutes or until muffins are golden brown and toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Move to a wire rack. Cool.
- Stir together remaining 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon and frosting. Frost muffins.
