¼ c. reduced-sodium soy sauce | ||
2 tbsp. packed Hy-Vee brown sugar | ||
1 tsp. Hy-Vee lemon pepper | ||
8 oz. thick-cut pork chop | ||
1 c. Minute rice, uncooked |
Directions
- Whisk together juice, soy sauce, brown sugar and lemon pepper. Reserve 1 cup; refrigerate until needed.
- Slice pork chop in half vertically. Combine remaining marinade and pork chops in a resealable bag. Refrigerate 4 to 24 hours.
- Remove chops from marinade; discard marinade. Broil chops for 7 minutes. Turn; broil an additional 5 minutes or until internal temperature reaches at least 145 degrees. Let rest for 3 minutes.
- Meanwhile, prepare rice according to package directions using reserved marinade instead of water.
