2 medium apples, peeled, cored, chopped, divided | ||
6 tbsp. Hy-Vee raisins, divided | ||
3 large Hy-Vee eggs | ||
1 ½ c. Hy-Vee half-and-half | ||
1 c. Hy-Vee granulated sugar | ||
1 ½ tsp. Hy-Vee cinnamon | ||
½ tsp. Hy-Vee nutmeg | ||
¼ tsp. allspice | ||
1 c. plus 3 tbsp frozen vanilla-flavored whipped topping, thawed, divided |
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a greased 9-by-13-inch baking dish, layer half the bread crumbs, half the apples and half the raisins. Repeat layers.
- In a medium bowl, stir together eggs, half-and-half, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice. Pour mixture evenly over bread layers.
- Bake uncovered for 30 to 35 minutes. Serve hot with 1 tablespoon whipped topping on each serving.
