Asian Watercress Salad with Steak and Hoisin Sauce

8 oz. watercress, trimmed, well-rinsed and dried | ||
1 lbs. New York strip steak | ||
2 ½ tbsp. hoisin sauce | ||
2 tbsp. water | ||
1 (8 oz) can Hy-Vee water chestnuts, drained | ||
1 pear, cored and chopped |
Directions
- Heat a medium non-stick skillet over medium-high heat for 1 minute. Add steak and cook 4-5 minutes on each side or until browned on each side. Remove steak and let stand 5 minutes before slicing.
- Meanwhile, to make dressing, combine hoisin sauce and water.
- Divide watercress, water chestnuts and pear among 4 serving plates. Top with sliced steak and dressing.
