3 c. melted Kemps vanilla ice cream | ||
¼ c. Hy-Vee flour | ||
3 Hy-Vee egg yolks | ||
2 tsp. Hy-Vee margarine | ||
2 c. Post Honey Bunches of Oats cereal, divided | ||
3 large bananas, sliced, divided | ||
2 c. Hy-Vee light whipped topping, thawed |
Directions
- In a medium saucepan, whisk together melted ice cream and flour. Stir in egg yolks and margarine.
- Cook over low heat until thickened, stirring frequently. Remove from heat.
- On the bottom of an 8-by-8-inch baking dish, sprinkle 1 cup cereal. Top with half banana slices. Pour half ice cream mixture over bananas. Repeat layers, ending with ice cream mixture. Cover and refrigerate 2 hours.
- To serve, top dessert with whipped topping. Refrigerate remaining dessert.
