1 ½ lbs. ground beef, cooked and drained | ||
12 tsp. ketchup, divided |
Directions
- Cut green bell peppers in half lengthwise and seed.
- Cook bell pepper halves in boiling, salted water for 5 minutes. Invert and drain halves thoroughly.
- Combine salt, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, oatmeal, egg, 1/3 cup ketchup and onion. Add to ground beef and mix thoroughly. Pack approximately 1/2 cup meat mixture into each pepper half. Place in an 8-by-12-inch baking dish.
- Top each meat mixture in the pepper halves with 2 teaspoons ketchup.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
