    1 lbs. lean ground beef
    1 medium onion, diced
    1 medium green pepper, seeded, chopped
    1 medium red pepper, seeded, chopped
    2 (15 oz each) cans no-salt-added chili beans, undrained
    1 (29 oz) can Hy-Vee tomato sauce
    1 tsp. Hy-Vee chili powder, optional

    Directions

    1. In a Dutch oven or large saucepan, cook ground beef, onion and bell peppers over medium heat until beef is no longer pink. Drain.
    2. Stir in beans, tomato sauce and chili powder, if desired. Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
