Buttery Cinnamon French Toast

½ c. Hy-Vee egg substitute | ||
½ tsp. Hy-Vee vanilla extract | ||
¼ tsp. Hy-Vee ground cinnamon | ||
6 tbsp. I Can't Believe It's Not Butter with Calcium Spread, divided | ||
12 slice(s) cinnamon bread | ||
½ c. Hy-Vee pancake syrup |
Directions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together milk, egg substitute, vanilla and cinnamon. Set aside.
- In a 12-inch nonstick skillet, melt 1 tablespoon spread over medium heat. Dip 3 slices of bread into milk mixture. Add to skillet and cook 5 minutes or until golden, turning once.
- Repeat with remaining slices of bread.
- Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, stir remaining 2 tablespoon spread and syrup until smooth. Drizzle over toast before serving.
