2 c. sugar | ||
1 c. light corn syrup | ||
½ c. water | ||
1 c. butter | ||
2 c. cashew pieces | ||
1 tsp. baking soda |
Directions
- In a heavy saucepan, heat sugar, syrup and water. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
- Bring to boiling. Blend in butter. Stir constantly. Add nuts when it reaches 280 degrees. Stir constantly until it reaches 300 degrees.
- Remove from stove and quickly stir in baking soda. Pour onto 2 buttered cookie sheets, spreading as thick or as thin as desired.
- Let cool to room temperature. Break into pieces.
