1 (8 oz) tube crescent rolls | ||
1 tbsp. butter, melted | ||
2 tbsp. sugar | ||
3 oz. cream cheese, softened | ||
¼ c. sour cream | ||
½ tsp. almond extract | ||
2 c. cherry pie filling | ||
2 tbsp. slivered almonds or chopped nuts, divided |
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Separate crescent rolls into 8 triangles. Place each triangle in an ungreased muffin cup. Press dough to cover bottom and sides of cup. Brush inside of each crescent roll cup with butter.
- Beat together sugar, cream cheese, sour cream and almond extract. Drop rounded spoonfuls into each roll-lined cup.
- Top cherry pie filling. Do not overfill. Sprinkle with nuts.
- Bake for 22 to 27 minutes until crust is golden. Cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing to cool completely on a wire rack.
