Chocolate Almond Cookies

1 c. margarine, softened | ||
¾ c. brown sugar | ||
½ c. white sugar | ||
1 egg | ||
1 ½ tsp. almond extract | ||
2 c. flour | ||
¼ tsp. baking cocoa | ||
1 tsp. baking soda | ||
½ tsp. salt | ||
1 (6 oz) pkg vanilla baking chips | ||
1 c. chopped almonds |
Directions
- In mixing bowl, cream margarine, brown sugar and white sugar. Add egg and almond extract. Mix well.
- In separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture and mix well.
- Stir in vanilla chips and chopped almonds.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 7 to 9 minutes.
- Cool on baking sheets for 1 minute. Then remove to wire racks to cool completely.
