Chocolate Caramels

2 tbsp. corn syrup | ||
2 tbsp. cocoa or carob powder | ||
7 tbsp. margarine |
Directions
- Sprinkle a layer of sugar across a Teflon pan. Use low to medium-low heat and wait until sugar melts; slowly add remaining sugar while stirring. Add cocoa or carob powder; mix completely.
- When all cocoa is dissolved, melt in margarine.
- Pour onto waxed paper forming bars or desired shape; allow to cool completely or drizzle on top of favorite dessert.
- NOTE: For a softer candy, add a little more margarine. Also, leave out most of the margarine for a wonderful hard candy.
