Chocolate Chip Pie

½ c. sugar | ||
½ c. brown sugar, packed firmly | ||
1 c. butter or margarine, melted, then cooled to room temperature | ||
6 oz. semisweet chocolate chips | ||
1 c. chopped walnuts, optional | ||
1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust | ||
ice cream or whipped topping, for garnish |
Directions
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- In large bowl, beat eggs until foamy. Beat in flour, white sugar and brown sugar until well-blended. Blend in cooled melted butter. Stir in chocolate chips, and nuts if desired. Pour into pie crust.
- Bake for 1 hour.
- Serve with ice cream or whipped topping if desired.
