Cinnamon Apple Crisp

4 tart apples, peeled and cored | ||
3 tbsp. fresh lemon juice | ||
2 tbsp. coconut palm sugar | ||
1 tbsp. ground cinnamon | ||
Topping: | ||
1 c. rolled oats | ||
¾ c. finely chopped walnuts | ||
⅓ c. maple syrup | ||
1 tbsp. coconut oil | ||
1 tsp. vanilla extract | ||
1 tsp. ground cinnamon | ||
¼ tsp. sea salt |
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Slice apples and place in 9-inch-square baking dish.
- Sprinkle with lemon juice, sugar and cinnamon.
- Combine topping ingredients. Sprinkle over apples.
- Bake until apples are tender, about 35 minutes.
- Let stand 5 to 10 minutes before serving. Top with ice cream if desired.
