1 ½ c. sugar
1 tsp. margarine
¼ tsp. cinnamon
¼ tsp. salt
1 tbsp. light corn syrup
half-and-half

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients, using enough half-and-half to make a thin gravy. Boil to soft-ball stage, 240 degrees.
  2. Beat to cool until mixture loses its gloss.
  3. Pour quickly onto hot cake and spread.
  4. Best on spice or yellow cake.
