1 c. Hy-Vee Select white wine vinegar | ||
6 (1/4-inch by 2-inch) strips lemon zest | ||
6 (1/4-inch by 2-inch) strips lime zest | ||
8 (1/4-inch by 2-inch) strips orange zest |
Directions
- Bring vinegar to a boil in the microwave or in a small saucepan.
- Place lemon, lime and orange zest in clean glass jar; add vinegar. Cover the top of the jar with plastic wrap and cover with lid. The vinegar should not come in contact with metal.
- *Scrub citrus fruits well. Use a vegetable peeler to remove citrus zest. Cut zest into 1/4-inch wide strips.
- **Do not eat zest.
