    1 c. Hy-Vee granulated sugar
    3 egg yolks, slightly beaten

    1 ½ c. Hy-Vee sweetened flake coconut
    1 c. Hy-Vee chopped pecans
    1 c. Hy-Vee powdered sugar, sifted
    1 tsp. Hy-Vee vanilla extract

    Directions

    1. In heavy saucepan, combine evaporated milk, sugar, egg yolks, and butter. Cook, stirring over medium heat until thick (about 15 minutes) or until the consistency of pudding.

    2. Add coconut, pecans, powdered sugar and vanilla. Stir until blended. Cool.

      Makes frosting for two 8-inch layers or one 9-by-13-inch cake.
