1 (14.5 oz) can Hy-Vee chicken broth | ||

1 large bunch collard greens | ||
¼ tsp. cracked black pepper | ||
crushed red pepper | ||
4 slice(s) Hy-Vee pre-cooked bacon |
Directions
- In a large saucepan, bring chicken broth and water to a boil.
- Meanwhile, wash the collard greens thoroughly. Remove the stems that run down the center by holding the leaf and cutting away the stems. Slice into 1-inch pieces.
- Add black pepper, crushed red pepper and collard greens to boiling broth in saucepan.
- Cover and cook over medium heat for 45 minutes or until tender. Drain.
- Meanwhile, warm bacon according to package directions and chop coarsely. Toss bacon with collard greens before serving.
