    1 (6.5-oz.) pkg. Hy-Vee pizza crust mix
    ½ c. hot water (120 to 130 degrees)
    ¾ c. Gustare Vita pizza sauce
    1 c. Hy-Vee shredded pizza cheese
    Desired toppings: Hy-Vee shredded mozzarella cheese, Hy-Vee sliced original pepperoni, Hy-Vee Kitchen picked rotisserie chicken, sliced hot dogs, chopped bell pepper, chopped tomato, chopped onion, sliced mushrooms, Hy-Vee sliced ripe olives and/or chopped fresh basil

    Things To Grab

    • Charcoal or gas grill
    • 12-in. round pizza baking screen or pizza pan with holes
    • Hy-Vee nonstick cooking spray
    • Muffin pan or several small bowls

    Directions

    1. Preheat a charcoal or gas grill for indirect grilling over high heat (400 degrees).

    2. Prepare pizza crust mix dough according to pkg. directions for a thin crust, using hot water. Shape dough into a ball; cover and let rest for 5 minutes.

    3. Spray a 12-in. round pizza baking screen or pizza pan with holes with nonstick spray. Roll out dough into a 12-in. round on a lightly floured surface. Transfer to prepared pizza screen or pan. If necessary, reshape dough to form a round crust.

    4. Place pizza dough on pizza screen or in pan over indirect heat. Close grill lid; grill for 7 minutes. Remove from grill. Turn crust over on pizza screen or in pan. Spread with pizza sauce to within a 1/2-in. of edge; sprinkle evenly with pizza cheese.

    5. Grill, covered, for 6 to 7 minutes or until edges begin to brown. Remove from grill; let stand for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, place desired toppings in separate cups in muffin pan or in small bowls.

    6. Cut partially baked pizza into 6 wedges; leave wedges on pizza screen or in pan. Ask each guest to top a pizza wedge with their desired toppings. Grill wedges, covered, for 6 to 7 minutes or until crust is lightly browned and toppings are heated through. If desired, move pizza screen or pan over direct heat during last 2 to 3 minutes of grilling and grill until bottom of crust is golden brown.
