1 lbs. medium raw shrimp, shelled and deveined | ||
4 tbsp. butter or margarine | ||
2 tbsp. flour | ||
1 ½ c. half-and-half | ||
1/4 to 1/3 c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese | ||
1 tsp. chopped fresh parsley |
Directions
- Prepare pasta according to package directions.
- Meanwhile, steam or sauté shrimp.
- Melt butter in a medium saucepan. Whisk in flour and cook, stirring constantly, until bubbly. Whisk in half-and-half and whisk constantly until thick and bubbly. Stir in cheese, parsley and shrimp.
- Serve sauce over pasta. Serve with additional Parmesan cheese.
