Flax Granola Snack Bars

¼ c. margarine | ||
4 c. miniature marshmallows | ||
1 c. uncooked oats | ||
1 c. crushed graham crackers | ||
½ c. flax seed | ||
½ c. raisins, chopped* | ||
¼ c. sunflower seeds | ||
¼ c. coconut |
Directions
- Melt margarine in a large saucepan over low heat. Add miniature marshmallows. Cook, stirring constantly, until marshmallows are melted and mixture is smooth. Remove from heat.
- Stir in oatmeal, graham cracker crumbs, flax seed, raisins*, sunflower seeds and coconut until thoroughly coated.
- Press into a greased 9-by-13-inch pan with greased fingers. For a thicker bar, use a 9-by-9-inch pan. Let cool. Cut into bars.
- *Other dried fruit, such as apricots or cherries, can be used in place of the raisins.
