Freaky Fruit-Filled Cupcakes

1 (18.25 oz) pkg Hy-Vee yellow cake mix | ||
3 Hy-Vee large eggs | ||
⅓ c. Hy-Vee vegetable oil | ||
1 ⅓ c. water | ||
1 (12 oz) jar Hy-Vee cherry jelly | ||
1 ½ c. Hy-Vee milk chocolate frosting | ||
Reese's Pieces candies, optional |
Directions
- Prepare cake mix using eggs, oil and water as directed on the package for cupcakes. Cool completely.
- Spoon jelly into a pastry bag fitted with a medium-size plain tip. Fill cupcakes with jelly by inserting tip into top of cupcake and squeezing about a tablespoon of jelly into each cupcake.
- Spread about 1 tablespoon frosting onto each cupcake. Sprinkle with Reese's Pieces candies for garnish if desired.
