Directions
- Preheat waffle iron.
- In a baking dish, combine eggs, milk, vanilla and nutmeg, whisking well. Add bread slices, turning to coat each side of bread.
- Place coated bread slices in waffle iron, pressing down lightly on lid. Cook until golden brown. Repeat with remaining bread slices. Serve with strawberries and dusted with powdered sugar, if desired.
