Fruit and Honey Nut Clusters

1 (12 oz) pkg white chocolate baking chips | ||
2 c. Hy-Vee Toasted Honey Nut Cereal | ||
1 c. sweetened dried fruit, such as cranberries, raisins, diced apricots or fruit medley |
Directions
- Microwave directions
- Line baking sheet with waxed paper; set aside.
- Melt white chocolate chips in medium microwave safe bowl on MEDIUM-HIGH (70% power) 1 minutes*; stir. Microwave an additional 20-40 seconds or until melted, stirring every 20 seconds until smooth.
- Gently stir in cereal and fruit until evenly coated. Spread on prepared baking sheet, separating mixture into loose clusters.
- Refrigerate 1 hour or until firm. Break or cut into bite sized pieces. Store covered in a cool place.
- *Due to differences in microwave ovens, cooking time is approximate.
- Stovetop directions:
- Line baking sheet with waxed paper; set aside.
- Melt white chocolate chips in top of double boiler over hot (not boiling) water. Stir until smooth.
- Gently stir in cereal and fruit until evenly coated. Spread on prepared baking sheet, separating loose clusters.
- Refrigerate 1 hour or until firm. Break or cut into bite size pieces. Store covered in a cool place.
