Fruity Crisp Rice Pops

¼ c. Hy-Vee margarine or butter | ||
35 Hy-Vee large marshmallows | ||
7 c. Hy-Vee fruity crisp rice cereal | ||
14 wooden craft sticks or lollipop sticks |
Directions
- In a large saucepan, melt margarine over low heat. Add marshmallows, stirring constantly until melted. Remove from heat. (OR Microwave margarine and marshmallows in a large microwave-safe bowl for 2 minutes on HIGH, stirring every minute*) Quickly add cereal and stir until all pieces are evenly coated.
- Let stand 3 minutes. With buttered hands, shape 1/2 cup cereal mixture into a ball and insert stick. Repeat with remaining cereal.
- Cool 5 to 10 minutes on waxed paper. Reshape balls if necessary and check to make sure sticks are secured. Finish cooling. Wrap tightly with plastic wrap.
- *Microwave cooking time is approximate.
