1 ⅓ c. uncooked Hy-Vee old-fashioned oats | ||
2 Hy-Vee large eggs | ||
⅔ c. Hy-Vee 2% milk | ||
1 tsp. grated onion | ||
⅓ c. packed Hy-Vee brown sugar | ||
2 tbsp. Hy-Vee flour | ||
½ tsp. Hy-Vee dry mustard | ||
2 tsp. Hy-Vee white vinegar | ||
⅓ c. corn syrup | ||
⅔ c. water |
Directions
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- Mix together ham, sausage, oats, eggs, milk and onion in a large bowl.
- Form into 10 to 12 medium-sized balls. Place in a greased 9-by-13-inch baking dish.
- Bake uncovered for 1 hour.
- Meanwhile, in a medium saucepan, combine brown sugar, flour, dry mustard, vinegar, corn syrup and water. Stirring constantly, bring to a boil. Boil for one minute.
- Pour brown sugar mixture over ham balls one minute before they are removed from the oven.
- Serve warm.
