2 lbs. lean ground beef | ||
2 large onions, chopped | ||

1 (29 oz) can Hy-Vee tomato sauce | ||
2 (14.5 oz each) cans Hy-Vee Italian diced tomatoes | ||
3 clove(s) garlic, minced | ||
3 Hy-Vee bay leaves | ||
1 tbsp. Hy-Vee Italian seasoning | ||
3 tbsp. Hy-Vee soy sauce | ||
1 tbsp. Hy-Vee seasoned salt | ||
2 c. uncooked Hy-Vee elbow macaroni |
Directions
- In a large Dutch oven, brown ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain and return to Dutch oven. Add onions to the beef and sauté until tender, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in water, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, garlic, bay leaves, Italian seasoning, soy sauce and seasoned salt. Cover and cook 25 minutes.
- Stir in macaroni; cover and simmer over medium-low heat 20 minutes.
- Remove Dutch oven from heat and let sit 30 minutes. Remove and discard bay leaves before serving.
