Grilled Turkey Burgers

1 ½ lbs. ground turkey breast | ||
⅓ c. dill pickle relish | ||
¼ c. mayonnaise | ||
salt and pepper, to taste | ||
4 slice(s) Havarti cheese | ||
4 whole wheat buns, split and toasted | ||
lettuce | ||
sliced tomatoes |
Directions
- Preheat grill to medium-high and lightly oil the grates.
- Mix turkey, pickle relish, mayonnaise, salt and pepper in a bowl, tossing gently with your hands. Shape meat into 4 patties slightly larger than the buns to allow for shrinkage. Grill burgers until cooked through, 4 to 5 minutes per side. In the last 2 minutes of grilling, top burgers with cheese and place buns on the grill. (The temperature of the burger should be 165 degrees when done.)
- Arrange lettuce and tomatoes on buns, then top with burgers and Basil Mayonnaise (see recipe on hy-vee.com).
