Hatch Pepper Poutine

Description
Gravy topped fries are paired with hatch pepper cheese for a spicy twist on the classic Canadian side dish.

½ (28 oz) bag Hy-Vee shoestring potato fries | ||
1 (0.87 oz) packet Hy-Vee 35% less sodium brown gravy mix | ||
1 c. water | ||
8 oz. hatch pepper cheese | ||
Fresh parsley, optional |
Directions
- Cook shoestring potatoes according to package instructions. Once brown and crispy, remove from oven. Set aside and keep warm.
- Combine package of brown gravy and 1 cup water. Cook according to package instructions. Remove from stove once thickened.
- Right before serving, place fries on plate and drizzle with gravy. Add crumbled hatch pepper cheese and garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.
