1 (4 lb) boneless beef prime rib | ||
1 tbsp. Hy-Vee ground black pepper | ||
4 tsp. Hy-Vee garlic salt | ||
1 ½ tsp. ground mustard | ||
1 tbsp. Hy-Vee onion powder |
Directions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
- Remove wrap from prime rib and place rib on roaster pan.
- In a small bowl, combine pepper, garlic salt, mustard and onion powder.
- Thoroughly coat rib with spice mixture.
- Arrange rib fat-side-up on roaster and cook 20 minutes.
- Reduce temperature to 325 degrees and continue cooking until a thermometer inserted into center reaches 115 degrees, about 75 to 90 minutes.
- Transfer roast to platter and allow to cool 30 minutes.
- Slice and serve warm.
