    2 ¼ c. sifted Hy-Vee flour
    1 tsp. Hy-Vee baking soda
    1 tsp. Hy-Vee salt
    1 (12 oz) pkg Hy-Vee chocolate chips
    1 c. chopped nuts, optional

    Directions

    1. Cream together butter, sugars, and vanilla until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs.
    2. Sift together flour, soda, and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture, mixing until well blended. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts.
    3. Shape cookies into 1-inch balls; place on an ungreased baking sheet about 1-inch apart. Bake at 375 degrees for about 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
