Lemon Angel Bars

½ c. Hy-Vee sugar | ||
1 (16 oz) pkg Hy-Vee angel food cake mix | ||
1 (15.75 oz) can lemon pie filling | ||
whipped topping, for serving | ||
sliced fresh strawberries or whole raspberries, for serving |
Directions
- Combine lemon juice and sugar. Stir well and set aside.
- Stir both the packets of dry cake mixes together. Stir in lemon pie filling and mix well.
- Spray a 9-by-13-inch pan with cooking spray. Spread batter evenly in prepared pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes.
- Remove bars from oven. Spread lemon juice/sugar mixture over the top of bars while they are still warm.
- Cut into bars when cool.
- Serve with whipped topping and sliced fresh strawberries or whole raspberries, if desired.
