Things To Grab
- 9x13-inch baking pan
- Large bowl
- Baking sheet
- 48 lollipop sticks
- Styrofoam
Directions
- Prepare cake according to package directions for a 9-by-13-inch baking pan. Cool completely.
- In a large bowl, crumble cake by hands. Stir in frosting and mix well. Roll mixture into 1-1/2-inch balls, about 1 rounded tablespoon each. Place on baking sheet and chill for several hours or freeze for at least 30 minutes.
- Remove from freezer or refrigerator. Melt candy coating according to package directions. Dip the tip of a lollipop stick into the melted candy, then into the center of a cake ball. Dip the cake ball into melted candy to coat. Stick into a piece of Styrofoam until coating dries. Repeat with remaining cake balls.
Decorate using melted candy coating as a glue to adhere candy to cake balls. [Editor's note: We used DecACake decorations for this photo.]
