1 (16 oz) pkg Hy-Vee elbow macaroni, uncooked | ||
¼ c. Hy-Vee butter or margarine | ||
¼ c. Hy-Vee flour | ||
4 c. Hy-Vee skim or 2% milk | ||
1 tsp. Hy-Vee salt | ||
¼ tsp. Hy-Vee black pepper | ||
1 lbs. Hy-Vee Smooth & Cheesy, cubed | ||
⅔ c. Hy-Vee bread crumbs |
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Meanwhile, in a large saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in flour until well combined. Add milk, salt and pepper; heat to boiling, stirring occasionally. Stir in cheese spread and heat until melted. Stir in cooked macaroni.
- Pour into 9-by-13-inch baking dish and cover with bread crumbs.
- Bake 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
