    1 c. butter, softened
    1 c. oil
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1 c. powdered sugar
    2 large eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    5 ¼ c. flour
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. baking soda

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    2. In large bowl, beat together butter, oil, granulated sugar and powdered sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour, cream of tartar and baking soda.
    3. Drop dough with small cookie scoop onto ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten each cookie with the bottom of a small drinking glass dipped in granulated sugar.
    4. Bake until edges are light brown, about 8 to 10 minutes. Remove cookies to wire racks to cool.
