    2 tsp. canola oil
    1 small onion, cut into thin wedges
    1 jalapeno pepper, sliced
    1 small clove garlic, minced
    ½ lbs. beef round steaks, cut 1/4-inch thick
    salt
    2 kaiser rolls, split
    ¼ c. chopped tomato

    Directions

    1. Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
    2. Add onion, jalapeno pepper and garlic. Stirring occasionally, cook 3 to 4 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from skillet.
    3. Heat same skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Place beef strips in skillet; cook 1 to 2 minutes, turning once. Do not over cook.
    4. Season with salt. Serve in roll with onion mixture and tomato.
