Overnight French Toast

1 tbsp. light or dark corn syrup | ||
½ c. butter | ||
1 c. brown sugar | ||
1 loaves French bread, cut in 2-inch slices | ||
5 large eggs | ||
1 tsp. vanilla | ||
1 ½ c. milk | ||
¼ tsp. salt |
Directions
- In a saucepan, combine corn syrup, butter and brown sugar. Simmer until syrupy.
- Pour into 9-by-13-inch baking pan. Arrange bread slices on top.
- In mixing bowl, beat together eggs, vanilla, milk and salt. Pour over bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- The next morning, uncover pan and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
