¼ c. chopped onion | ||
2 clove(s) garlic, minced | ||
1 ½ tsp. Hy-Vee cornstarch | ||
1 c. Hy-Vee half-and-half | ||
½ c. Hy-Vee chicken broth | ||
¾ tsp. dried basil leaves | ||
½ tsp. Hy-Vee salt | ||
1 lbs. cooked boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips | ||
¼ tsp. grated lemon peel |
Directions
- Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain.
- Meanwhile, spray a large skillet with cooking spray. Heat over medium heat. Add onion and garlic. Cook 3 minutes or until onion is tender, stirring frequently.
- Stir cornstarch into half-and-half.
- Add half-and-half mixture, chicken broth and seasoning to garlic. Stir. Heat to boiling, stirring frequently.
- Add chicken. Reduce heat and simmer 3 to 4 minutes or until heated through. Stir in lemon peel.
- Toss together hot pasta and chicken mixture. Serve immediately.
