6 c. peeled, sliced organic Gala apples | ||
1 c. pomegranate juice | ||
1 c. sugar | ||
1 tsp. cinnamon | ||
½ tsp. allspice | ||
½ tsp. ground cloves |
Directions
- In a large saucepan, combine apples and juice. Bring to a boil. Simmer 20 minutes or until apples are tender. Process in a food processor to desired consistency.
- In a medium-sized slow cooker, stir together apples and remaining ingredients. Cook uncovered on HIGH for 1-1/2 to 2 hours or until thickened, stirring occasionally.
- Serve over fresh baked bread or waffles or freeze for later use.
