    4 sprig(s) fresh rosemary, plus additional for garnish

    1 Meyer lemon, sliced, for garnish
    3 oz. bourbon
    2 oz. rosemary water
    1 ½ oz. Hy-Vee pure maple syrup
    1 oz. fresh Meyer lemon juice

    Directions

    1. For rosemary water, combine water and rosemary in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, for 4 to 6 minutes or until reduced to about 1 cup, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; remove and discard the rosemary. Cool for 20 minutes. Strain water through a fine-mesh sieve set over a bowl; discard mixture in sieve.

    2. Meanwhile, cook lemon slices in a small skillet over medium-high heat for 3 to 4 minutes or until slightly charred, turning halfway through. Remove from skillet; cool completely.

    3. For each cocktail, combine bourbon, 2 oz. rosemary water, maple syrup and lemon juice in an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Cover and shake well until chilled. Strain into a 10-oz. crushed ice-filled glass. Garnish with charred lemon slices and fresh rosemary, if desired.
