Servings and Ingredients

QuantityIngredientAdd
¼ c. Gustare Vita olive oil
1 (.07-oz.) pkg. Hy-Vee Italian salad dressing mix
1 (7- to 8-lb.) whole bone-in turkey breast with gravy, thawed
½ c. water

Things To Grab

  • Whisk
  • Small bowl
  • Spoon
  • 6-qt. slow cooker
  • Instant read thermometer
  • Cutting board
  • Sharp knife
  • Airtight container

Directions

  1. Whisk together olive oil and salad dressing mix in a small bowl.

  2. Remove gravy packet from turkey breast and reserve for another use. Loosen turkey skin from breast by gently sliding fingers underneath skin, being careful not to tear skin. Spoon half of salad dressing mixture underneath skin, spreading gently to cover breast meat. Rub remaining dressing mixture over skin on outside of turkey breast.

  3. Place, skin side up, in a 6-qt. slow cooker. Add water. Cover and cook on HIGH for 4½ to 6 hours or until internal temperature reaches 170 degrees in thickest part of breast.

  4. Remove turkey breast from slow cooker. Let rest 15 minutes before slicing. Store sliced meat in an airtight container up to 3 days or freeze up to 1 month. If frozen, thaw in refrigerator before using.
