    2 c. Hy-Vee sugar
    1 c. Hy-Vee margarine, softened
    2 Hy-Vee large eggs
    1 tsp. Hy-Vee baking soda
    1 c. Hy-Vee sour cream
    1 tsp. Hy-Vee vanilla
    1 tsp. Hy-Vee baking powder
    ¼ tsp. Hy-Vee salt
    5 c. Hy-Vee flour

    Directions

    1. In a large mixing bowl, cream sugar and margarine; add eggs and beat well. Stir baking soda into sour cream and stir in. Add vanilla. Gradually add baking powder, salt and flour. Cover and chill several hours or overnight.
    2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    3. Roll dough into 1-1/2 inch balls and place on ungreased baking sheet. Flatten each ball with bottom of glass before baking 10 to 12 minutes.
    4. Remove cookies to wire racks to cool.
