½ tsp. Hy-Vee Italian seasoning | ||
¼ tsp. fennel seeds | ||

Hy-Vee salt and Hy-Vee pepper, to taste | ||
Hy-Vee pasta, prepared according to package directions, optional | ||
Hy-Vee shredded Parmesan cheese, optional |
Directions
- Combine tomatoes, Italian seasoning, fennel seeds, garlic, crushed red pepper and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Simmer 15 minutes or until slightly thickened and tomatoes are softened. Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve marinara over pasta and if desired, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
