2 c. chow mein noodles | ||
1 c. dry roasted peanuts | ||
1 c. Hy-Vee semi-sweet chocolate chips | ||
2 tbsp. Hy-Vee butter | ||
½ tsp. Hy-Vee vanilla extract | ||
1 c. Hy-Vee powdered sugar |
Directions
- In a large bowl, combine cereal, noodles and peanuts, set aside.
- In saucepan, over low heat, melt chocolate chips and margarine, stirring often until smooth. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla.
- Pour chocolate mixture over cereal mixture, stir until all pieces are evenly coated. Add powdered sugar and toss until all pieces are well coated.
- Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in airtight container.
- Microwave Directions: In large bowl combine cereal, noodles and peanuts, set aside. In small microwave safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and margarine. Microwave on HIGH 45 to 60 seconds or until melted, stirring until smooth, add vanilla. Pour chocolate mixture over cereal mixture, stir until all pieces are evenly coated. Add powdered sugar and toss until pieces are well coated. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in airtight container.
