1 (16 oz) pkg frozen Hy-Vee mixed vegetables | ||
1 ¾ c. water, divided | ||
1 tsp. Hy-Vee dried chopped onions | ||
¼ tsp. Hy-Vee salt | ||
2 tbsp. Hy-Vee butter | ||
⅔ c. Hy-Vee 2% milk | ||
1 ½ c. Hy-Vee mashed potato flakes | ||
1 (10.75 oz) can Hy-Vee condensed tomato soup | ||
1 tsp. Hy-Vee Worcestershire sauce | ||
¼ tsp. Hy-Vee dried thyme | ||
½ c. Hy-Vee shredded cheddar cheese |
Directions
- Brown ground beef in a large sauté pan. Drain any fat and return ground beef to pan. Stir in frozen vegetables, 1/4 cup water and onion. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 5 to 10 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
- Meanwhile, prepare mashed potatoes according to package directions, using 1-1/2 cups water, salt, butter, milk and potato flakes. Cover and set aside.
- Stir soup, Worcestershire sauce and thyme into meat mixture. Drop prepared mashed potatoes in mounds on top of meat mixture. Sprinkle with cheese. Cover and simmer about 5 minutes or until heated through.
