6 medium bell peppers | ||
1 lbs. ground beef | ||
⅓ c. chopped onion | ||
2 c. stewed tomatoes | ||
¾ c. Minute Rice | ||
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce | ||
1 c. grated Cheddar cheese | ||
salt and black pepper, to taste |
Directions
- Fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil.
- Cut tops off bell peppers and remove seeds. Cook peppers in boiling water for 5 minutes. Drain peppers well.
- Brown ground beef and onion in a large skillet. Drain leaving 1 tablespoon drippings in pan.
- Stir in tomatoes, rice and Worcestershire sauce. Cook until rice is tender. Add most of the cheese, reserving some for topping. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Fill peppers and place in baking dish. Sprinkle with reserved cheese.
- Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees.
