Sweet Almond Toss

2 c. Hy-Vee natural almonds | ||
1 egg white | ||
1 tbsp. water | ||
¼ c. Hy-Vee granulated sugar | ||
½ tsp. Hy-Vee ground cinnamon | ||
¼ tsp. allspice | ||
¼ tsp. Hy-Vee salt | ||
¼ tsp. Hy-Vee crushed red pepper | ||
3 c. Rold Gold honey wheat braided twists | ||
10 c. popped Hy-Vee kettle corn |
Directions
- Preheat oven to 275 degrees.
- In a medium bowl, whisk egg white and water together until foamy. Stir in almonds and toss to coat. Drain.
- In a medium bowl, combine sugar, cinnamon, allspice, salt and crushed red pepper. Stir in almonds to coat.
- Spread almonds in a single layer on a greased baking sheet. Bake 30 minutes. Reduce heat to 200 degrees and bake another 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from oven and let cool.
- In a large bowl, mix together pretzels, popcorn and almonds.
- Store in an airtight container.
