Sweet Spiced Pecans

1 Hy-Vee egg white, lightly beaten | ||
1 tbsp. water | ||
½ tsp. maple extract | ||
½ c. Hy-Vee granulated sugar | ||
½ tsp. Hy-Vee salt | ||
2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice | ||
2 dash(es) cayenne pepper | ||
1 (12 oz) pkg Hy-Vee pecan halves |
Directions
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Spray with non-stick cooking spray.
- In a small bowl, beat together egg white, water and maple extract. Stir in sugar, salt, pumpkin pie spice and cayenne pepper.
- Add pecan halves. Stir to coat. Spread nuts on prepared pan.
- Bake for 30 minutes, stirring twice. Remove from pan. Cool.
- Serve Sweet Spiced Pecans by themselves or chop and sprinkle over salads.
